From ‘Reel’ to ‘Real’ LABEL

From ‘Reel’ to ‘Real’ LABEL

With every sidewalk turning into a runway and every gaze entranced your courageous style; the bridge between reel to real is getting even closer. LABEL Ritu Kumar fashions the regal era with modernity and utility, and together we tell you a definitive story about the journey from ‘Reel to Real’. Currently, we are seeing individual trends that are reminiscent of the 80’s, the colour of skin in every variation and androgyny, geometrical patterns and challenging shapes. But to draw from history without losing itself in costume territory is an inimitable strength.

Fashion is still an unexplored and intimidating world for many and for all these years a regular consumer would admire the glossy pages of magazines but fright away from achieving the look. But recently, with so many successful campaigns encouraging everyone to be comfortable in their own skin, confidence is on a rise and we are here to celebrate this new found quality with model Saachi Bhasin who represents ‘reel’ and is brought to reality BlabberCat.

Photographer and visuals: Harshika Sethi Tantia

Model: Saachi Bhasin

Make up and Hair: Sujoy and Nabo

Mixology dress, INR 8.900

Brazenly honest. Fearless. Spirited. impossible to replicate. LABEL for Saachi is a mix of things; it’s commercial yet experimental and polished yet liberated. You find a huge mix of aesthetics and what I think works really well is everyday basics with timeless silhouettes, because you never really know where you might end up. LABEL definitely has its own voice in my mind and is experimental and fun. This is a vision of mystery and femininity lending to full dresses – says Saachi.

Tanmarg RD, jumpsuit, INR 3,400

Channeling surrealism in her day dream, this whimsical optimist sees a ray of light and imagines her world just like shown in her jumpsuit. A plethora of Indian inspired print in a boho palate. The modern day gypsy is inspired the Romanis of Spain or the ones credited for introducing occultism. She is the seeker of hidden wisdom and that’s not idealist reality. It is what it is. Belted wasitlines, low necklines, freedom of movement makes this print jumpsuit versatile from high-end statement to hair-braided back for colouring dreams.

(L) NEON, dress, INR 5,800 and (R) Multichecks jumpsuit, INR 5,950

Model or not, the ambitious and well-dressed woman today prefer active boho-chic. I use the word active because active wear is both (Saachi on the left)  our go-to nine times out of ten. After modelling for famed brands, the recently most loved face model Saachi says – I’m tuned in to what’s happening around the world in terms of trends and styles, I usually stick to clothes I feel most comfortable in and add some new, fun bits and pieces that work for me. The cover pics represents our walk through the qualms of reel life and achieving it in reality.
